Geometrics are all the rage, bright colors paired with the sharpness of black and white are on trend so who could resist bringing it all together? I couldn't!
The inspiration flowing through the bead world right now is Kate McKinnon's "Contemporary Geometric Beadwork", a fabulous book in two volumes that is a world wide collaboration. While keeping things original one can't help be influenced and inspired when something of this magnitude hits and I'm just as susceptible to it as anyone.
This puffy pointed pendant can be made in so many colorways, on trend with the black and white or a more classical style as shown in the black/white/silver colorway. You can make this with three layers (the mustard version) or four layers (lime green and black/white versions), the three layer version being a little easier without the tricky needle angles of the fourth layer. It's all peyote other than the bail.
The pendant measures 2 3/4" diameter and 7/8" deep.
